PEEWEE AE GO .500 OVER WEEKEND
The Paris Wolfpack played .500 hockey over the weekend, with a tough loss to Ayr, but an amazing bounce back game against an undefeated Tillsonburg team.

First off we travelled to Ayr on Saturday night, looking good in our new jerseys and team jackets, and the play on the ice for the first 2 periods looked just as nice. Then the 3rd period came and everything that could go wrong did, along with some bad puck luck, we just couldn't find our game again in time, and fell 4-2. Scoring for Paris was, Noah S, and Alex B. Player of the game was also Alex B.

The following night we made the trip to Tillsonburg, to face off against a team that still hadn't lost a game yet this year. In the dressing room before the game the coaches delivered some words of encouragement to the boys and to quote coach Chris, " Tillsonburg is a strong team, but so are we, they haven't lost yet this year, until tonight! "
With the lines mixed up a little to try a spark some offense, Noah S, now playing center, and was a force all night, won the opening draw, made a nice rush up the boards, feathered a pass over to Matt L, who played his best game of the year,  was robbed by the T-Burg goalie, but with the rebound sitting in the slot, Tyler A, who also seemed to have more spring in his game again, and used his outside speed to challenge the Tillsonburg defense all night long, came close to making it 1-0, but couldn't get the puck past their goalie. That opening drive seemed to set the pace of what turned out to be a terrific game.
The line of Owen H, Austin P, and Simon O, used their speed to keep the Tillsonburg team on their heels all night, and got some quality scoring chances of their own. Alex B, with his bulldog like play, was a constant threat, and with his line mates, Caiden G, and Julian V, buzzing all night, was a line that caused turnovers and had the Tillsonburg team chasing the game.
Tyler G, was a force on the point. Using his size and skill to help protect our net, as well as create some great scoring chances. His defensive partner Owen T, showed you don't have to be the biggest guy on the ice to play like it, as he was able to shut down the Tornadoes offensive all night and make some great rushes too. Luke B, being moved back to defense played a solid game and showed he's a dependable d-man with skill to boot. Nate M, played his best game of the year, with some great shot blocks and his tenacious back checking made it hard for Tillsonburg to get any type of an offense going.
Lucas R, the last line of defense, played his best game, with not only big saves, but some very timely ones as well.
The boys played a terrific game and handed the Tornadoes their first loss, with a 3-2 victory. Scoring for the Wolfpack was, Julian V, Matt L, and Tyler A, with assists to, Owen T, Caiden G, Tyler A, Matt L, and Noah S, with 2. Player of the game was Noah S.

Great weekend of hockey boys.
Happy Halloween!
