Wolfpack Shows Grit, On Night Team Captains Were Named
Last Thursday, Oct. 19th, the Paris Wolfpack couldn't recover from a slow start when we faced off against the Caledonia Thunder.
In a game that started out with the naming of the team's captains, which are as followed... The man that will be called " captain " this year is Noah S. and the 3 men that will be wearing the A's are, Tyler A, Julian V, and Owen H.
The team seemed ready to go, but when we hit the ice, it seemed we left the energy in the room. After some back and forth play, the Thunder started to take control of the game, as once again the Wolfpack couldn't stay out of the penalty box, and after 2 periods the Thunder found themselves up 3-0. The Wolfpack started to claw their way back into the game by scoring 2 quick goals to start the 3rd. Shortly after though Caledonia was able to score, then score twice more and we found ourselves down 6-2 with about 5 minutes to play. The boys showed lots of grit and heart and were able to score 3 goals in 3 minutes and make it a 6-5 game. With time running out and the goalie pulled we pushed hard for the equalizer but came up just shy. Scoring for Paris was, Simon O with 2, Austin P, Noah S, and Alex B. Assists going to Owen H with 2, Caiden G with 2, Tyler A, Tyler G, Nathan M, and Owen T each with 1.
The coaching staff were very pleased with the never say never attitude that was shown. I think we all learned something from that game and Caledonia better be worried when they have to play us again...
