Owen L scores first Peewee goal
The Atom A/E defense man was called up to fill in for the Peewee A/E team Tuesday night in Simcoe...and boy oh boy did he fill in nicely. Owen played rock solid defense and when he had an opening he rushed the puck up the ice like a young Bobby Orr.
It seemed to be an off night for the usually very hard working wolfpack team, it took the boys half the game before they started competing like they do on most nights but it was too late by then. Simcoe played Paris's game as they fore checked the peewees and bottled them up in their own end for most the first half of the game but once Paris found their legs the took it to second place Simcoe but they had difficulties getting one by the outstanding goal tending at the other end of the ice. Mid way thru the third period after some nice passing back and fourth with his defense partner Captain Christian, Owen L slide down into the slot and rifled one behind the Simcoe net minder that didn't have a chance on that one...what a beauty Owen L...Congratulations...I know mom and dad were very proud. Next game is 7pm Friday night vs Ingersoll at the ice palace...hope to see you there.
