Short handed Peewee A/E's fight hard in Tillsonburg tournament
In the first game of the tournament on Friday the Paris team came out like gangbusters, all of the forwards were pressuring Elmvale all over the ice not giving them a chance to set up or move the puck. Paris defense consisting of Caleb T,Christian P, Peter F, Colby G and Ryan The Herk played outstanding defense with Ryan V and Captain Christian playing on the blue lines for the first time this year because of other commitments and sickness.

Call-up Ethan R scored a picturesque goal with a low blast from the top of the face off circle to get Paris going with an assist from Big Ryan V. Paris ran into a little penalty trouble in the second period but they turned it into a positive with their aggressive penalty kill with Owen M picking up two unassisted short handed goals going end to end on both that set the other team back on their heels. Paris goalie James H played outstanding once again only allowing one goal late in the third to a never say die Elmvale team that fought to the end of a 3 to 1 Paris win.
The next game versus the home town Tillsonburg Tornado's saw a fast paced high energy game with all the Paris boys giving 100% all the time. Once again Big O strikes with a laser of a shot picking the top shelve where they keep the peanut butter for Paris with assists going to Gavin ( No quit) M and Ethan R. A lot of hard work at both ends of the ice from Seth B, Haybo S and Lukas (Human Wall) P. created some great scoring chances for the boys. After a flurry of back and fourth action in front of both goalies Paris lost the game by the score of 2-1 but once again Hoogey was unbelievable in net stopping over 40 shots from the home team Tornado's.
The third game in less than 24 hrs for Paris took its toll on the undermanned A/E team and they plain old ran out of gas losing to a heavily armed Dorchester team that resembled a bantam team as most their players looked like they drove to the game. The team missed their leading scorer and birthday boy Dylan L and rock solid D man Coleman L throughout the weekend, the team hopes the boys are good to go for the next league action. The MVP of tournament was shared by the unflappable Hoogey and scoring machine Owen (Big O) M. Great time had by all the parents and players, Coaches Stewy and Dalp are very proud of their boys effort and determination once again and a special thanks to Ethan R and Seth B for coming up to play with the short handed A/E team and for fitting right in and working their tails off. General Manager Alex F says " keep fighting for the biscuit boys...onward and upward" Also team trainer Spiker says make sure you make it out to Doug Green's door swinging clinic for all you inspiring Co coaches out there...contact Doug G for details. See you Tuesday in Simcoe and back home at the Ice Palace next Friday vs Ingersoll.
