Atom Reps are All-Stars
In conjunction with the NHL All-Star game, The Paris Optimist Atom Reps ditched their normal practice plan on in favor of a 3 on 3 contest.

The white team somewhat resembled the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference with their mix of youth and experience and were led by a pair of 67 year olds in Mel (“Roberto Luongo”) O. and Doug (“Jaromir Jagr”) H. along with the youthful 16 year old Tyrus (“Dylan Larkin”) F..  The dark team closely resembled the Pacific Division team of the Western Conference with their combination of skill and good looks and were led by 10 year old Carson (“Jonathan Quick”) B., Bruce (“Drew Doughty”) M. and crowd favourite Al (“John Scott”) Robb.  The game mimicked the actual All Star game with its competitive action, occasional breakaway and outstanding goaltending.  In order to shake things up, a mid-game trade was orchestrated sending dark goalie Carson to the white team in return for goalie Mel and future considerations (now officially confirmed as Thursday’s coaches tab at Legends).  The game ended in an unofficial tie with both sides proclaiming victory. The real winners were Doug and Mel who escaped without suffering any form of lower or upper body injury. Al “John Scott” R. has returned to the minors and will suit up for the Canadian Tire white team Monday night at the BSC.
