Wolfpack Quiet Thunder to Claim Southern Counties ‘A’ Championship
The Paris Optimist Atom Rep Wolfpack claimed the Southern Counties ‘A’ Division Championship on Sunday April 3rd in Norwich as they skated to a 4-2 victory over the Caledonia Thunder in the title game.

Thomas K. opened the scoring 4 minutes into the first period when he deposited the rebound off of Kyle C.’s shot from the point into the back of the net. Thomas recorded his second goal of the game in the opening minute of the second period after Will Moore worked tirelessly behind the Thunder net and found Kitchen all alone in the high slot. Thomas one-timed the pass from Will into the bottom corner of the net. Less than 2 minutes later Thomas finished off the natural hat trick when he once again tucked a rebound from a Kyle C. shot into the back of the net. The Thunder didn’t quit and started to pressure the Wolfpack in the later half of the second period. The Thunder narrowed the Wolfpack lead to 3-1 early in the 3rd period. Will restored the Wolfpack lead to 3 goals when he banged in a rebound off of Ryan’s shot past the Thunder goalie with just under 7 minutes remaining. The Thunder capitalized on the power play with 89 seconds left in the game to cut the deficit in half. The Wolfpack ran out the remaining time on the clock to claim victory. Carson B. was dynamite in the Paris net all game, calmly turning aside many good scoring opportunities to pick up his 30th victory of the season in net.
