S. scored all three goals for the Paris Optimist Wolfpack as they opened the
Southern Counties Playoffs with a 3-2 win over the Ingersoll Express.
Ingersoll opened the scoring with 1 minute remaining in the first period and carried the 1-0 lead into the second period. Josh tied the score 4 minutes into the second period with assists going to Adam S. and Tyler G. Josh put Paris ahead 2-1 going into the third period when he took a pass from Will M. and fired a wrist shot past the Express goalie with just under 3 minutes to go in the period. Ingersoll rallied to tie the game while on the power play with 6 minutes remaining in the game. With just over 1 minute to go in the third period and Paris on the power play, Kyle C.’s stretch pass sent Josh in all alone down the right side of the ice and Josh made no mistake in beating the Express goalie on the blocker side to complete the hat trick and give Paris the victory.
