Wolfpack Win Back To Back Over Weekend!
The peewee AE served notice over the weekend that they are a team to fear, with back to back wins over Simcoe and New Hamburg.
On the Friday night, we hosted Simcoe and played the best we've played this year. The boys showed what a skilled, fast, talented team can do. From the drop of the puck to the final buzzer the Wolfpack carried the pace and owned the Warriors. The coaching staff have been pushing the boys to play their positions and to look to make the quick, up ice pass, and on Friday night they answered the call and beat a very good team and made it look easy. Lucas R, played a strong game in net, as Simcoe only managed to get 1 past him. Scoring for Paris was, Austin P, Tyler A, and Owen H, with assists to Simon O with 2 and Owen H and Tyler A each with 1. As the Paris Wolfpack won 3-1.
Next up on Saturday afternoon, we travelled to New Hamburg, where once again the boys beat a good team and did it in a dominating fashion. The New Hamburg goalie did everything he could to keep the game close as the Wolfpack pushed hard and was rarely not in the New Hamburg zone. The toughest part of this game was dealing with a ref who apparently only saw 1 team, as the Wolfpack made a steady march to the penalty box. Even through all the penalties, we were still able to push the pace of the game and keep the Huskies pined in their end. Again Locas R, who only faced around 10 shots, made the saves when he had too, and posted his 2nd shutout this year. Scoring for Paris was, Austin P, Owen H, and Alex B, with assists to, Noah S, Matt L, and Julian V.
All the boys played 2 nearly perfect games, and the coaching staff were very pleased with what we saw. Great weekend boys!!!
