Everybody loves a parade...
Paris Peewee A/E Wolfpack dropped two close ones last week to the two top teams in their league. An exciting 2-1 lost to first place Caledonia Thunder with our back-stopper Hoogey facing approx. 600 shots and one was a penalty shot, Paris tallied late in the third with goal scored by McGavin and assisted by Haybo, the boys needed a few extra minutes on the clock. On Friday second place Embro Rep's beat our boys 3-0 the next night which turned out to be a penalty filled game for Paris who took 20 minutes in penalty's...most were deserved, maybe the boys had visions of Santa dancing in their heads...speaking of which...

The peewees in fact did have Santa and Christmas in their heads as they participated in the infamous Paris Santa Claus parade that Saturday in beautiful downtown Paris...the boys had a blast and felt like Rock Stars as they waved and handed out candy to all the children lining the streets. As you see by the picture on this page and the Brantford Expositor it was a thing of beauty with all the team players, siblings and parents decorating the float after an early morning practice...OK the moms did all the work as Kenny Fireball T. and the rest of the dads supervised from the sidelines. Special thanks to Patty C and BGI Graphics the company she works for that donated the sign...Kris C. what a good community guy. Coach Dalpe and the Kings bothers for letting us use their shop to dress the float up in the warmth,Teddy H from Hoogs Installation for donating the flatbed, hockey nets and candy cane decorations and special thanks to Firemen Phil Dalpe for taking the kids over to the fire station for a tour of all the trucks and equipment....After fun was had by all and we rocked the parade the team went to Coach Stewys for hot chocolate, cookies and Rice Crispy squares made special for the birthday boy Peter F...Happy 11th little foxy. The boys played well together as they do on the ice and believe it or not so did the parents...they behave as well...even Wrong Room Ronny. Thanks to the hockey Moms Cindy, Jen, Roberta, Charlene, Courtney, Rachel, Heather and Patty for their contributions and hard work making it a great day for all the kids...and another special thanks to Michelle S for preparation and clean up of the parade party. Paris Peewee A/E's next home game is this Friday night at Paris Ice Palace @ 7pm vs sworn arch enemy Tillsonburg Tornadoes...be there or be square.
