Tornadoes Uproot Wolfpack 7-4 in SC Playoff Action
Tillsonburg Tornadoes scored 5 power play goals to uproot the Paris Wolfpack 7-4 in Southern Counties ‘A’ playoff action on Thursday February 25th at the Brant Sports Complex.

Thomas K. opened the scoring at the mid-point mark of the first period when his wrist shot beat the Tillsonburg goalie. Tillsonburg responded 1 minute later on the power play to tie the score. Thomas recorded his second of the night with just over 2 minutes to play in the first period. Kyle C. and Nathan M. worked hard to keep the puck in the Tillsonburg end and were credited with assists. Tillsonburg tied the score in the final minute of the first to send the game deadlocked at 2-2 into the second period. Tillsonburg took advantage of a parade of Paris players to the penalty box as they scored 2 power play goals in the second period and 2 power play goals early in the 3rd period to build a 6-2 lead. Will M. with a solid individual effort narrowed the gap to 6-3 with an unassisted end to end rush at the mid point mark of the 3rd period. Josh S. took a pass from Will, raced down the right wing and fired a wrist shot into the top corner with 4 minutes remaining to cut the score to 6-4. Tillsonburg scored late in the game to seal the victory.
