that they were just minutes away from devouring a couple of boxes of Tim’s signature product in celebration of Thomas K.’s birthday was the motivation the Paris
Optimist Atom Reps needed to score 6 unanswered goals in the last 8 minutes of
the third period to overcome a 4-1 deficit and post a 7-4 victory over the
Simcoe Warriors in Southern County ‘A’ Playoff action in Simcoe.
Simcoe opened the scoring less than 2 minutes into the opening frame. Tyler G. responded for Paris just over 1 minute later to tie the score. Ryan O. assisted on Tyler's marker. Simcoe scored once more in the first, once in the second and again early in the third period to build a 4-1 lead. Tyler A. picked up a rebound off of Ryan’s shot with 8 minutes remaining to start the Wolfpack comeback. Ryanthen sent Josh S. in all alone on a breakaway with 3:33 left in the third and Josh ripped a wrist shot into the top corner to inch the Wolfpack closer. Will M. tied the game with 2 minutes remaining assisted by the birthday boy Thomas K. and Tyler A.. Josh picked up the game winner 40 seconds later assisted by Will and Kyle C.. Will and Ryan each collected empty net goals in the final minute to round out the Paris scoring.
