Pirates Rally to Steal Point from Wolfpack
The
Port Dover Pirates scored with just 7 seconds remaining in the contest to tie
the Paris Wolfpack 2-2 in Southern Counties League action on Thursday December
17th at the Brant Sports Complex.
After a scoreless first period, Port Dover opened the scoring at the 6 minute mark of the second period with a short-handed goal. Joshua S. tied the score with 39 seconds remaining in the second period when he took a pass in the high slot from Will M. and ripped a shot past the Pirates’ goalie. Thomas K. gave Paris the lead with 5 minutes remaining in the game with a wrist shot to the top of the net. Tyler A. picked up the assist on Thomas' marker. Port Dover pulled their goalie in the final 30 seconds of the game and were rewarded as a Paris turnover outside their blue line gave possession back to Port Dover and they found the back of the net with 7 seconds remaining to tie the game.
