Wolfpack and Wildcats Skate to a 4-4 Draw

Paris Optimist Atom Rep Wolfpack and the Waterford Wildcats played to a 4-4
draw at the Brant Sports Complex on Thursday November 26th.
Paris jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the midpoint mark of the first period when Joel A. took a pass from Joshua S. in the high slot and ripped a wrist shot into the net. Trevor K. also picked up an assist. Paris increased their lead to 2-0 with 3 minutes remaining in the second period as Tyler A. found a puck in front of the net and beat the Wildcat goalie. An over-confident Wolfpack team got away from their game plan in the third period and the Wildcats took advantage as they struck for 3 goals in four minutes in the middle of the frame to take the lead. Ryan O. tied the game for Paris with 4 minutes remaining in the game with an unassisted marker. Another defensive lapse allowed Waterford to regain the lead with 98 seconds remaining in the game. Paris responded just 35 seconds later as Will M. stuffed a rebound off of a Thomas K. shot into the net to tie the game for the final time.
