Atoms Eliminated in Tournament Quarter-Finals
The
Paris Atom Rep Wolfpack were eliminated in the quarter final game of the Doug
Robinson Memorial Tournament when they were defeated 4-1 by the Dorchester
Dragons.
Dorchester scored in the opening minute of the first and second periods as well as the mid-point mark of the first period to take a 3-0 lead over a sluggish Wolfpack team after just 11 minutes of game action. The Wolfpack line of Will M., Tyler A. and Thomas K. put consecutive good shifts together in the second period that had the Dragons bottled up in their own end. They were rewarded when Will stuffed in a rebound in the crease to narrow the margin to 3-1 at the mid point mark of the second period. An energized Wolfpack squad put pressure on the Dragons for the remainder of the period but could not hit the scoreboard. Dorchester upped their lead to 4-1 in the final minute of the second period which seemed to take the energy out of the Paris rally. Carson B. showed why he collected the best goalie award in the skills competition as he made several great saves in the third period to keep Paris in the game.
