Wolfpack and Bears battle to 3-3 time at Lincoln Tourney
The
Paris Atom Rep Wolfpack and the South Muskoka Bears battled to a 3-3 draw at
the Doug Robinson Memorial Tournament in Lincoln.
The Bears opened the scoring 35 seconds into the game when a Bears player found a loose puck off of a rebound in front of Paris goalie Carson B. and slipped it into the open net. Joshua S. tied the game 3 minutes later. Ryan O. picked up the assist. Paris took the lead just 16 seconds into the second period when Adam S. took a pass from Joshua S. in the high slot and beat the Bear’s goalie. South Muskoka looked to tie the game at the midpoint mark of the second period when they were awarded a penalty shot. Carson B. shut the door on the Bear’s shooter to preserve the Wolfpack lead. Will M. upped the Paris lead to 3-1 in the opening minute of the third period when he converted a pass from Thomas K. with the Wolfpack on the power play. The Bears didn’t quit and scored with 6 minutes and 3 minutes left in the game to tie it 3-3. In the final seconds of the game, with Paris on the power play, Joshua S. and Spencer C. turned a 2 on 1 into a 2 on 0. Only a great save by the Bears goalie prevented Paris from pulling out the win. Joshua S. was named the player of the game for Paris.
