The Novice LL 1 keep rolling right along after winning another 2 out of 3 this week and running their overall record to 14 wins and 4 loses plus 1 tie with one game to go in the inter league first haft...way to go boys, awesome effort. They beat Simcoe 6-0, Burford 14-0 and lost to Port Dover 5-2 in what this reporter thought was one of the more exciting games of the year...a great back and forth affair with Paris missing a few players and a couple key players playing under the weather.
In the Simcoe game it was Tyler H nabbing another hat trick and Cam S with two plus rookie sensation Brooks A notching the other with Callum D getting his fourth shoutout of the year. Next up Burford on their home turf and Paris came out flying and the D of Ryan Q, Nick M, Logan S and Eric B were stellar allowing minimal shots at Callum D. in between the Wolfpack pipes. Scoring the goals were Tyler H with 4, Cameron S 3, Brooks A 2, Aiden D 1 plus an assist, AJ S 1g 2 A, Logan S 1g 2A first goal of the year, Eric B 1 goal and JAKE THE SNAKE H with his first of the year with a beauty snapper from the hashers that the Burford goalie is still looking for...Dawson A and David M made some nice passing plays as well as digging for the puck in the corners. On to the Sunday afternoon tilt vs Port Dover Reps, the game was a lot closer than the score as Paris played their hearts out playing their 3rd game in 4 nights with a cough due to cold running rampant threw the lineup. Cameron S and Brooks A were the marksman for Paris but the real story of the week was Jake H scoring his first hockey goal...his dad told me he is out practicing all the time now in the driveway and it is showing up with results on the ice...also David M is working hard, battling for pucks like crazy and going to the open area getting chances to score...keep working David it will happen soon. This reporters three stars of the week are Jake H, Logan S and David M...congratulation boys on all the hard work you have put. Next game and last of the first haft before Christmas break is Dec. 16th 3:30 at the Twin Pad vs Tillsonburg Tornadoes who are one of the top dogs in the league as is Paris LL1 Wolfpack...should be a barn burner...
