Wolfpack Tops Express
The Novice Wolfpack played a strong two-way game on Thursday night and were awarded with a 6-2 win over the Ingersoll Express.

Ingersoll jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the first period when they scored at the mid-point of the first period.  The score remained 1-0 until the 7-minute mark of the second period when Josh scored his first of the game to tie the game at one.  Neither team was able to find the back of the net for the rest of the second and the teams headed to the third period tied.

In the third period, Ingersoll grabbed a 2-1 lead two minutes into the third period.  The Wolfpack responded with a three goal burst in less than one minute to take a 4-2 lead.  A slick passing play from Scott to Andrew found Josh alone at the side of the goal and he made no mistake to tie the game at two.  Twenty seconds later, Ryker found some open space and buried his first of the game to make it 3-2.  Fifteen seconds later, Carson V created a turn over behind the Ingersoll goal which resulted in Tyler making a pass to Ryker for his second of the period and a 4-2 Wolfpack lead.  While short-handed Andrew found Josh open on the right wing and he beat the Express goalie with a shot to make it 5-2.  Ingersoll pulled their goalie with a little over two minutes to play.  Drew W and Cam C both made strong plays on the puck to clear the Wolfpack zone which sent Josh in alone on an open goal to complete the scoring.

Thursday marked the third straight game that Paris played a strong two-way game for 35 minutes and the team was rewarded with their fifth point.

After a couple of practices, the Wolfpack travels to Ingersoll on Tuesday night before returning home to play Simcoe on Thursday.
