Novice Wolfpack - OMHA Semi-Finals
The Novice Wolfpack faced off with the Simcoe Warriors in the OMHA Semi-Finals that were played over the past two weeks.  Paris had won two of the three regular season games and Simcoe responded by winning the two League play-off contests.  Aside from one game, all previous games were decided in the third period so both teams were prepared for a close series.

Game#1 - Simcoe 4 - Wolfpack 1
Simcoe jumped out to a 1-0 series lead by coming into the BSC and leaving with a 4-1 win.  Paris opened the scoring but Simcoe responded with three goals and then scored into an empty net to seal the win.  The tight game was a sign of things to come.

Game#2 - Wolfpack 4 - Simcoe 3 (OT)
The Wolfpack evened the series with a tough 4-3 overtime win.  Paris found another gear in the early part of the game and jumped out to a 3-1 lead using their speed through the neutral zone.  Simcoe fought back and tied the game to send it to OT.  Three minutes into OT, the Wolfpack forced a turnover at the Simcoe blueline and it led to a scoring chance by Josh P, who was able to find the back of the net.

Game#3 - Simcoe 3 - Wolfpack 4
In another tight game, Simcoe jumped out to a 3-1 lead only to see Paris return the favour by mounting the comeback.  Paris tied the game at three early in the third and scored the winning goal with just under five minutes to play.  Paris survived a couple of goal posts and a cross bar in the final minutes of the game.

Game#4 - Wolfpack 7 - Simcoe 5
Leading 2 games to 1, the Wolfpack understood that they were going to get a strong 40 minute effort from Simcoe on their ice.  The Wolfpack came out strong with the line of Carson, Andrew and Cam (Stewey) setting the tone in the first period.  Paris jumped out to a 4-0 lead but Simcoe was not going to go away.  Simcoe cut the lead to 4-1 by the end of the first.  The teams played an even 2nd period with each team scoring twice.  Heading into the third period, the Wolfpack led 6-3 but Simcoe was coming on strong.  Carson K was forced to make a couple of big saves to keep them off the score board.  Josh, Ryker and Tyler played a strong defensive 3rd period to help keep the Wolfpack in the lead.  Simcoe scored twice in the third to cut the lead to 6-5 before Paris sealed the game and the series with an empty net goal with 35 second to play.

The Wolfpack defense of Cam, Drew, Jared and Evan did a fantastic job of making strong passes and clearing the puck from the defensive zone.

It was a great team effort by all the players and they should be proud of their accomplishment.
