Wolfpack Get Back in the Win Column
The Paris Wolfpack Novice Rep team got back in the win column on Tuesday night when they travelled to Ayr to face the Flames. Ayr has been a tough match up for the Wolfpack all season by winning and tying their two games. Paris was looking to even the season series by giving a strong outing.
After a scoreless first period, Paris took a 1-0 lead when Carson V scored from the slot off a pass from Tyler. The Flames tied the game a minute later. With under three minutes to play in the 2nd, Carson scored his second of the game off a nice pass from Ryker.
Leading 2-1 after twenty minutes, Ryker found Carson for a second time and the Wolfpack had a two goal lead. With five minutes to play, Josh added an insurance marker while the teams were playing four on four. Ayr kept battling and chipped in a couple of late goals to cut the lead to 4-3 but the Wolfpack was able to hold on for the win.
Carson K played a strong game in goal making a number of saves to keep the Flames off the board. Carson V was well positioned for his three goal and Ryker made some nice passes to create scoring chances.
Tyler R was named the WOTG for his strong play with the puck.
Up next for the Wolfpack is the league leading Tillsonburg Tornados on Thursday night.
