Wolfpack defeats Wildcats 3-1
From the desk of GM Stewy:

This veteran sports reporter/Coach has not witnessed a more exciting game in 30 years of covering or coaching this fine game. It was none stop, end to end action for the entire 3 periods with posts being rung like the fourth of July and New Years all wrapped into one. There was toe saves, glove saves and my personal favourite ... the no look save, the Waterford goalie and the two Paris goalies had outstanding games.

The Paris team started off slow and the coaches thought it might be a long night for our goaltending tandem of Ryan and Callum but they both stood tall and prevailed with only one rubber biscuit getting behind them after 50 odd shots faced by both. Waterford's #6 who is only six yrs. old looked like he had the puck tied to a string on the end of his stick scored first. Once again the defence was rock solid with Liam (the Lion) leading the way with some outstanding defensive plays in front of our net and on the opposing teams blueline...Logan (the Crusher), Finn (the Magician) and Owen (the Bruiser)  played a tough and smart game throughout...some oldtimers were over heard saying that these fearsome foursome must not have had any breakfast cause they looked hungry out there today. The Wolfpacks first goal to tie it up was by Tyler (the Hitman) who does not mind going to the greasy tough areas of the ice like he did on this goal scoring on his own rebound to keep his 3 game streak alive. Cameron (Turbo) also with a three game goal streak scored the go ahead goal and insurance goal on almost the identical breakaway plays...rumour has it he can skate faster then his father now...or ever did. Have to give Griffin (the Griff) a shout out for his excellent back checking to help save a least 2 breakaways and Evan (Paul Bunyan) for his awesome stick checking...one landed him in the sin bin for two minutes...another first for this grizzled rink rat...a penalty in a Tyke game who would have thunk it?? Drew (the Dippsy Doddler) and Aidan (the Awesome) had all around good games on both sides of the puck while getting their chances also, Mason (the Mighty) played stellar positional hockey with also having a few kicks at the can to score, the team missed Dawson (Frankie's boy) get well soon little buddy. The next end to end see saw battle will be this Thursday at 6pm at the ole twin barn vs the Beverly Bandits...
