Midget LL4 |, U18, 2018-2019 (Paris Minor Hockey)

A big thank you to Greg and Fletcher for organizing a fun paintball and bbq party today. The weather was perfect and our players had a lot of fun and stories to last a lifetime. Enjoy your summer everyone, see you at the arena in September.

Our players concluded the 2018-2019 Midget season in our hometown as our team played in the Syl Apps Tournament and managed to get in four exciting games, two of which were against our other home teams, LL 3 and LL1. Friday night our team hit the ice to confront the Dresden Junior Kings – White team, our team is familiar with Dresden having played in their hometown tournament earlier in the season; however, in their tournament we only had the chance to face their Maroon team so the chance to play their other Midget team would complete the full package experience.

Our LL4 Wolfpack team saved their very best hockey for our final season game, defeating Langton Leafs 1 who finished third in the standings, during the second half of the season. This last game saw Riley McHutchion score an impressive 4 goals in one game, earning a hat trick and an added feather to his cap. 

Our Midget LL4 team spent our last practice doing a Skills Competition, with Caleb Hunks leading up his team of players versus his brother Jonah Hunks with his crew of players. The skills competition involved all players; unfortunately, Deryk and Lucas were not able to attend to help each of their teams.

Our Wolfpack didn’t let a little snow, freezing rain, wind, rain stop them from traveling to Burford for an away game ... it definitely slowed our convoy down, in addition, many of us had to detour and recon figurate our GPS’ to get around some road closures; fortunately, we all made it in good time. Our game started off according to Coach Bob’s plans as Spencer made a poke check play in our zone off of a Burford defenceman and a foot chase pursuit that couldn’t catch up to Spencer who went in one on one against their goalie and forcing him to the left and a last second stick deek to his ...
