Wolfpack Drop Game to Thunder
The Paris Wolfpack travelled to Caledonia on Wednesday night to face the Thunder.  Caledonia came out as the more aggressive team winning a lot of the puck battles along the boards and at the bluelines.  Although the Thunder controlled the play, Paris was able to escape the first period only facing a 1-0 deficit.  Carson K had a strong opening period making a number of nice saves.

In the second period, the Thunder continued to be strong on the puck and pressured the Wolfpack by constantly moving their feet.  Like a snowball at the top of the hill, once the Thunder started to roll, the Wolfpack had trouble stopping it.  Caledonia took a 3-0 lead halfway through the second period.  Josh P scored with 3 minutes to play in the second after Andrew made a strong play on the puck to move it out of the Wolfpack zone.  The spark from the goal was short lived, as the Thunder regained control adding two more goals late in the 2nd to take a 5-1 lead into the third.

The third period was quiet until the final three minutes.  After Caledonia took a 6-1 lead, the line of Ryker, Carson and Tyler put together back to back strong shifts where they became the aggressor and out worked their Thunder opposition.  The result was two goals in 43 seconds.  Ryker scored his first of the night with an assist going to Tyler.  Ryker then added his second 43 seconds later unassisted.  The Wolfpack would get no closer on this night with the final score being 6-3.  The score aside, the Wolfpack has continued to make strides in their defensive positioning as they limited the Thunder to only two breakaways during the game.

The Wolfpack gets to jump right back on the horse Thursday night as they host Tavistock for the first time this season.  Paris will be looking to refocus and get back into the win column.
