Tornadoes Whip Wolfpack in SC Playoff Action
The Tillsonburg Tornadoes blew into Paris on Friday the 13th and showed why they are at the top of the standings as they whipped the Paris Wolfpack 8-3 in Southern Counties ‘A’ Division playoff action at the Brant Sports Complex.

Tillsonburg had the Wolfpack hemmed in their own end the majority of the first period but could only muster a 1-0 lead heading into the second thanks to the superb goaltending of Carson B..  Paris started to even out the action in the second period but Tillsonburg notched two more goals late in the frame to take a 3-0 lead into the final frame. The Tornadoes upped their lead to 4-0 with a shorthanded breakaway marker just over a minute into the 3rd period.

The Wolfpack rallied with 3 power play goals in a span of 1:20 to cut the gap to 4-3 with 11 minutes remaining in the 3rd period.  Ryan O. pocketed the first two goals 23 seconds apart from the doorstep of the Tornadoes net banging in loose pucks. Nick R., Thomas K. and Josh S. collected assists. Just over 1 minute later, Will M. deposited a rebound off of Brady's blast from the point for the 3rd goal.

It was then Tillsonburg’s turn to show off their power play as 3 of their final 4 goals were power play markers.

Paris goaltender Carson B. was spectacular in net all night, filling an entire segment of Sports Desk with highlight reel saves.  In particular, his stick save off of a Tornadoes player left all alone in front of the Paris net in the first period easily earned Carson the 1v1 honors of the night.
