"For You I Will" Bantams put out too soon
The Paris Bantam Reps fought tooth and nail against Ingersoll and other sources beyond their control and in the end bowed out gracefully in game 4 in over time while trying to kill off their 6th penalty of the game with 2 minutes left, while enjoying one power play of their own the entire game, but this coach is not bitter at all.  With all the hockey I've played in my 39 years on this planet I've never seen such good and fair officiating especially in a quarter final game, or for the whole year for that matter. Anyway on to series details.

The Paris boys were in tuff before the series even started with star player Dalton K out for the season, and rookie sensation Connor C, undergoing emergency surgery ending his season as well(possibly) Game one was a big win for the home side taking a 1-0 series lead, big players in this contest were the 2 centers James H, and Preston B, suppose to be burrrrr outside this week. other stand outs in this game were the stellar play of Peter F, who had to make the transition back to defense after playing forward for a month.  Aiden C, the soup of the day, made several spectacular rushes as well. final score 5-2 for the good boys. Game 2 shifted to Ingersoll and the boys new it was going to be tuff down there in this one, It was Burrrr off to Quebec city on a school trip and Payton M, eating at macdonalds in the Dominican republic the paris boys went into Ingersoll with just 2 lines. The Paris kids fought like a rabid dog in this one coming up short on 2 late power play goals in the third, final score 5-3 for the bad guys. stand outs in this one were, 6'6 110lbs Mathew B, playing center for the first time in his career, and first team rookie allstar ashton J, who go's to the wall every game. the defence was led by captain snap himself as no one got by him with out losing a piece of bone. Game 3 shifted back to Paris, and the Boys were back to a full bench as the burrrrr stream that was in Quebec was back in Ontario now, and Payton M, was enjoying a big mac in his own town again, his father on the other hand Cam M, suffered a tummy churning bug and had to be hospitalize with diarrhea.  With a full bench and all hands on deck the paris boys had a slow start going down early in the contest 2-0 after the first period, the second seen both teams scoreless but in the third paris was all over Ingersoll coming within a goal of tying it ending in a 3-2 loss.  notables in this one were actor Robb Austin, who's been one of the more consistent players all year, and steady eddy Jaydean C, who always does his best to fire the troops up, game in game out, showing outstanding leadership skills. Game 4 shifted back to Ingersoll and the paris boys were on the ropes but ready for a fight, they came out playing like a wet mad cat. Payton M finally got his legs back under him and had a tremendous game getting the local boys on the score sheet first, then late in the first period after a missed icing and paris trying to kill off a 2 man advantage Ingersoll tied it up. the teams exchanged goals in the second period sending the game to the third period tied at 2. mid way through the third Ingersoll scored to take the lead(another power play goal). With time running out and the paris net empty Kyle K, picked up the puck at center ice and speed wide around the Ingersoll Defence setting up a one timer that Jake Z,(big Red) almost put right through the net on a blazing one timer to tie the game and send it to over time. The Paris boys owned the whole overtime period and Ingersoll couldn't get out of there own end, then with 2:20 to go in over time the reffs arm went up again and it was Paris back to kill a penalty in a game theyd been dominating, well wouldn't you know it Ingersoll scored on that power play to end paris omha run at the quarter finals, Coach Tyler P, was seen giving the reff the thumbs up over a job well done after the game. team analyst and special grampa bill R, was seen in the parking lot looking to shake the reffs hand to no avail. In the end the Paris boys had nothing to be ashamed of as they played with all their heart and soul all through the omha play offs and were the last paris team standing, these boys have turned into young men right in front of the coach's eyes. A special thanks goes out to call ups Mathew M, and Luke  R, who filled in admirably for a short paris team through out the play offs. Kyle K was outstanding in the paris net for the whole run, never flinching and was a big reason for the run. another shout out to coaching staff, Jason H, Mike K, and chris D, for all they do for the boys all year round and filling in for a suspended head coach in the only win of the series(maybe the coach should have stayed in the stands) Some notable quotes after the game, one being Cam M who was just out of the hospital saying, "well that was the shits, but at least i don't have them anymore" The Paris boys now turn their attention to southern counties play offs were rookie stand out goaler jacob F, whos so foxy out there has the boys right in the hunt with a 5-1-1 record on his excellent job between the pipes.
