The boys played an exciting first game of the championships that left coaches, players and the fans on the edge of their seat the whole game!!!
The boys came out hard in the first period!!! A nice pass from "Top Cheese" Carson K to "Iron Man Mitchell" who put it in the back of net got the boys on the board right off the bat!!! Strong defensive play in the 1st period by our "D".
The second period had everyone on the edge of there seats as Hespeler got a quick goal to tie the game. Paris quickly responded with a scramble at the net and a pass from "firecracker" Eric M to the "Wirey" Connor K who blew one by the goalie from his knees.
The third period started with a 2-1 lead for Paris. The boys turned it on, however Hespeler got a funky bounce and tied the game. Some hard skating by "Digger" Dallas M, that lead to a nice play out in front of the net, where "Speedster" Karson L shot it in.
Hespler came back and tied the game the game 3-3. "Top Cheese" Carson K motivated his team once again by making some stellar moves, and deaking out Hespeler’s defence to get off a beautiful shot that resulted in a nice bar down goal putting Paris ahead. Paris didn't stop. With minutes left in the game "Digger" Dallas got another goal followed up by a nice empty netter from the "Firecracker" Eric M.
Good battling to the very end from our defence team: "Last Second Man" Lucas S, "Force them to the Boards" Trenton M, "D Man" Gabe L and "Hold the Line" Oscar P.
Final score 6-3 for Paris!!
