U13 Play hard in Paris Tournament
Although it wasn't the outcome they were looking for the Paris rep u13's had a great showing on the weekend in their hometown tournament, going 0-2-1 in the round robin then getting squeezed out by a strong Cumberland team in the quarter finals by a score of 2-0.

Playing Shallow Lake on friday in the first game of the tournament the boys looked a little nervous and ended up on the wrong end of a 2-0 hockey game, if it weren't for the stellar performance of Noah the wall C in net things could have been worse. When interviewing Parent Sancey P after the game she said "the coach's sure didn't have the kids ready for that one, when's the blue line club open". the next game would be a different contest all together with Paris coming up against a strong team from South Kent. Paris carried the play and the lead for most of the game but a couple late tallies by South Kent had things end in a 3-3 tie. the first goal of the game came by Joe too tall S who fired a cannon slap shot from the point the was clocked at 98mph. When asked for an interview after the game from his father his response was " i don't have time for this i"m coaching the U11's right now". Paris took a 2-1 lead in the second period when play maker tough guy Cam stewdog S made an amazing pass to the slot to Andrew fireball G who blasted a slap shot top cheese!!! Paris last goal of the contest came in the third period when Jameson the Eagle A flew down the wing, drove to the net and slammed in a rebound. The final game in the round robin would have Paris matched up against the Lucan Irish, even the name sounds tough, the boys would come out strong again going up 2-0 early in the game only to see the Irish fight all the way back to keep the game a tie score 2-2. strong performances on this one where by the defense especially the tandem of Evan captain crunch G and Griff the killer N. Up front wingers Eric water bug B and Jared Buffalo fan B where buzzing all over the plays like B's. After all was said and done Paris would cross over and play the top seed from the other division in the quarter finals.  you want to talk about a hockey game and an effort from those Paris boys this was one for the ages i tell ya folks. They were flying they where hitting they where shooting fans left the game thinking they'd just watched a professional hockey game thats how good these boys played. Tallen the dangler P was excellent up front and filling in on the back end, while Camden can't stop me now C was steady eddy on defense, number one ranked prospect Ty tremendous R was flying high as well even though he'd blocked a blistering slap shop on the knee cap earlier in the tournament. Rookie sensation Dawson awesome A would play his best game of the season during this match. They all gave it 110% interviewing the coach after the game he had a tear of joy in his eye for the work ethic the kids put in. When interviewing assistant coach Paul dangerous D, he said we play like that every game and we are gonna win a lot of games, wheres the party. Paris was without allstar centerman Rowan madgog M with an upper body injury he could have been the difference maker had he been able to participate. coach's Spiker and Scott G money G did an excellent job controlling the bench with only one two many men on the ice penalty all tournament.  When interviewing parent Matt G he said what a game come watch me sing Kareokee at the bar.  Another parent interview that went south was Joel Beardman B who said why you always a smart ass? Stay tuned folks these kids are just getting warmed up, next up is a game in Langton this week, then in Paris vs St george then off to Brighton for a second tournament!!! special thanks go out to all the parents who helped on the front desk, Shawn N, Joanne N, Michelle B, Dougie C, Krista and Colin C, Chris S, Matt G.
