A Christmas Story
Twas the Night before Christmas and all through the rink, not a Wolfpack was stirring, the coach did not drink.
The sticks were all set, by the front door with care, waiting for a game, possibly with Ayr.
The players were nestled all snug in their beds, with vision of the playing in the NHL danced in their heads.
And Sance in her kerchief and coach in his cap, I just hit the toilet to take a big crap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the crapper to see what the matter.
And what to my wondering eye would appear? A miniature zamboni and 14 kids with hockey gear!
With a little old driver so lively and quick, I knew in an instant it must be coach Kipp.
He whistled and shouted and called them by name. Now Evan now Griffin now Joe and Cam, on Rowan, On Ty, on Tallen, on Andrew and Cam. Go Eric, Go Jared, Go Jameson and Dawson. With Noah in net this team sure looked awesome!
To the top of the standings to the top of them all, now skate away skate away, nobody fall!
As I looked even closer something else would appear, Coach Dalpe was there, wiping a tear! On his left was coach Green, so soft spoken he didn't have to scream. to his right was coach Pike, it filled this coaches heart with so much delight!
Kippy sprang to the zamboni and gave the team a yell, they flew down the ice, faster than snow melting in hell.
I heard him exclaim as he drove out of site, merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!
