Successful Week On and Off The Ice For The Peewee Rep
The Paris Peewee Rep Wolfpack team has won 5 of its last 6 games, 2 of them shut-outs.  Off the ice, the boys did a food drive as part of their quest for the Good Deeds Cup and it was a huge success.

Although hockey is a big part of these boys' lives, it has taken somewhat of a backseat for the last week.  The boys are participating in the Good Deeds Cup and thought a food drive would be something they could do.  It was a way to give back to those who may not be as privileged as them and at times, struggle to put food on the table.

Two Sunday's ago, the boys handed out grocery bags in the north end of town with a request for some type of food donation that would be picked up the following Sunday.  The boys would play 3 games through the week, one of them being at home on the Saturday.  The boys set up signs and donation boxes before the game and gathered some additional donations at the rink.  Thanks to those who made a donation at the rink, it was greatly appreciated. The boys would be successful on the ice as well, earning a 3-0 win.  The boys stuck around and watched the Paris Mounties in action to finish their night.

The boys would meet in the north end to gather their donations and what a huge success it was!!  The boys were able to fill the inside of a mini-van, as well as the back of a pick up truck with donations.  The boys were also able to raise $117 through empty bottles that people donated as well.  The boys would drop all donations, including the $117 to the local Christmas Hamper.

The Peewee's weren't done there, the boys would head to the fairgrounds Monday night to help sort all of the donations from different people and organizations.  It was an amazing amount of food and gifts that had been donated by all.  The boys did a great job of helping sort, with many others showing up to help as well.  It was great to see all the support the local hamper gets from our community and something great for the boys to witness.  Simon O and Alex B would speak on video as to why they felt it was important for them to give back to their community.  Keep your eyes out for this team.  Whether they're successful or not winning the Good Deeds Cup, the parents should be very proud of their boys. This is one great group of kids and are already a success in their coach's eyes.  Great job boys!!  GO WOLFPACK GO!!
