Wolfpack ends Delhi Rockets winning streak
Delhi Rockets were looking to continue their winning streak and add a 4th game to their repertoire; unfortunately, for their team but fortunately for the Wolfpack LL3 we put a halt on their plans in this evening’s exciting game.

Throughout the game, all I can hear was David Bowie’s words echoing in my head describing the game ... Ground Control to Major Tom Commencing countdown, engines on (five, four, three)  Ground Control to Major Tom, your circuit's dead, there's something wrong. Can you hear me, Major Tom?

The game started off on a great note, with a quick goal from Spencer after just a minute into the game, this was a lead that we would hold on to until the end of the second period, when the Rockets scored and tied up the game.

With the start of the 3rd period, it was like déjà vu as Spencer claimed a second goal with just a minute into the period, a goal that was assisted by Oscar.

During the game there was as much movement on the ice as there was on the bench as players were being moved from forward to defence to find that perfect chemistry of forward and defence lines.  All players were impressive on how well they quickly adapted in their position transitions that helped our team with our success tonight.

In the final minute, of play, the Rockets pulled their goalie and with 6 skaters in our zone, made a final attempt to score, which they did that seemed to have the puck floating in mid air just over our goalies shoulder and drop into the net.

Congratulations to all of our players for an exceptional game with non-stop skating and moving the puck between each other and setting up some great breakaways and two on ones.  Our defence and goaltender worked extremely well together and stopped many ambushes from the Rockets to keep our team on top for most of the game.

The excitement between these two teams will be repeated in just a week, when we travel to Delhi to play them next Sunday for a 7:30pm game.
