Ingersoll takes 2-0 lead in OMHA Quarters
The
Paris Wolfpack played two solid periods of hockey but that wasn’t enough as the
Ingersoll Express took game 2 of their OMHA quarter final series 5-1.
Ingersoll had Paris bottled up in their own end for the majority of the first period and scored 3 times in a span of 3 ½ minutes near the end of the period to take a 3-0 lead into the second. Paris played a strong second period, collecting the only goal when Thomas, in the high slot, took a perfect pass from Gavin F. and sent a one-timer past the Express goalie. Paris generated several other good scoring chances in the period but were turned away leaving the game at 3-1 heading into the 3rd period. In the 3rd, Paris played another strong period, but could not solve the Express goalie. With time winding down and Paris goalie Carson pulled for an extra attacker, Ingersoll managed to collect a pair of goals in the final 90 seconds to complete the scoring.
