Wolfpack Top Warriors to move onto OMHA Quarter Finals
Ryan scored twice in the last 6 minutes of the 3rd period to lift the
Paris Wolfpack to a thrilling 2-1 come from behind victory and propel Paris
into the OMHA quarter finals against Ingersoll.
Paris had an excellent start to the game dominating the first period with several good scoring chances but could not find the back of the net. The second period was much the same with Paris holding territorial advantage and out chancing the Warriors. However, Simcoe opened the scoring with just under 3 minutes left in the period when they found a loose rebound and stuffed it in net. Paris continued to press the pace of the game in the 3rd period and got the chance they were looking for when they went on the power play with 6:52 remaining on the clock. Forty-two seconds into the power play, Ryan tied the game banging in a loose puck. James and Matt earned assists as they were instrumental in getting the puck to the front of the net. With the game clock winding down and overtime looming, James found Will to the left of the Simcoe net. Will slid the puck over to Ryan on the right side for the go ahead goal with 1:16 remaining. Max played another strong game in net in picking up the win. Paris was down 3 players due to injury and illness but still managed to play one of their best games of the season with everyone playing hard at both ends of the ice and contributing to the victory.
