PARIS WOLFPACK MOVE ON AFTER TOUGH SERIES
The Paris Wolfpack continued their strong play eliminating Erin Hillsburgh Devils over the weekend. Comparing both teams season stats this should have been an easy series for our Wolfpack team but this is the playoffs and they always seem to bring the best out in teams and players. After the first game and lopsided 9-3 win from our boys game 2 featured a lot of ups and downs for our team as we seemed to take the Devils to lightly as they skated away with a 6-3 victory. After regrouping with a great practice the boys knew that they haven't showed the Devils their best hockey yet. Game 3 the Wolfpack came out flying controlling the play for the entire game and were rewarded when Owen L scored a beauty set up by Emerson N to make it 1-0. The second period seen much of the same play from our team as they kept peppering the Devils goalie with shot after shot they didn't get discouraged as Matt L got rewarded with some strong play from his line mates Jack C and Owen L to set him up in front of the net making it 2-0 Paris. During the third intermission the boys looked poised but knew that the Devils would be coming as they have tons of talent on the team and well coached. It didn't take long to respond as Owen L got his second goal and third point of the night set up by our new and up and comer defence man Owen H. Our goalie Lucas R stole the show from there making save after save and snagging pucks out of the air like they were candy on Halloween getting a well deserved shout out winning 3-0 and putting Paris up 2-1 in the series. Game 4 was back at home and Paris was looking for redemption from their game 2 loss and again they didn't disappoint buzzing and attacking the Devils the entire game Owen L got us started again scoring twice in the First assists going to Connor K, Owen H and Jimmy D. The score could have easily gotten out of hand as all our players dominated most of the play and could have been rewarded if it wasn't for great goaltending from the devils goalie. The second was scoreless but again Paris controlled the play. The third saw much of the same and with a man in the box for our team Emerson N chipped the puck forward and buried his first of the game on a beauty wrist shot. Paris finally put the game away when Jack C with his blazing speed rushed down the wing and slid one past the keeper on a nifty deak Paris wins 4-1 and off to the next round. Great job Boys lets make some more memories!!!
