PARIS WOLFPACK ATOM AE ELIMINATED FROM OMHA QUARTER FINALS
Paris Atom Ae has been eliminated from the OMHA playdowns!!!

Paris Wolfpack Atom Ae travelled to Lincoln to take on the Blades in the quarter finals of the OMHA playdowns over the weekend and having played 13 games and 3 tough rounds to Lincolns 4 games and 2 rounds you could clearly tell who the fresher team was down the stretch. For reasons unknown and out of our control that's the way it was set up so we needed to deal with it. After a lengthy drive through snow squalls and treacherous road conditions Paris founds its way to the rink to face the blades for game one. Not knowing our opponent the boys got off to a great start controlling most of the play the entire game unfortunately for us every time we scored Lincoln would catch a break on a call from the refs or it would go off of one of our players in the net this resulted in a 6-2 win for the goalie hecklers in Lincoln. Game 2 was a different story as we were back in our barn for the next 2 and the boys were ready to roll!! Controlling most of the play again Paris was getting no puck luck this game as every time we scored the blades would find an answer, that's hockey and sometimes that's just the way it goes unfortunately we were on the wrong end of it this time. The boys fought hard and gave it 110% and that's all we ask but just came up short losing 5-2 and down 2-0 in the series. Before game 3 the coaches addressed the players in the dressing room and you could clearly tell that the boys knew that this series wasn't over yet and they just needed to take one shift and one game at a time. These boys didn't disappoint as the came out flying putting their hearts and souls on the line for what they loved doing the most and that's playing hockey. After getting called for numerous  penalties in the first and third periods Paris found themselves short handed most of the game and down 1-0 early in the game. It wasn't until Paris was killing a 5-3 penalty that Owen L tied the game late in the first to tie it 1-1.No scoring in the second setting up a great 3rd period. Paris finally took the lead early in the third When Emerson N rifled a shot that found the net but again Lincoln quickly responded tying it 2-2. Both teams had their chances to end it but great goaltending on both ends stymied the offence. For some reason Paris again found themselves in the box and some blatant none calls late in the game resulted in Lincoln scoring the winning goal and eliminating the Wolfpack AE team from the play downs. These boys were pretty down on themselves after the game but after a closed door meeting we reassured how proud we were of all their accomplishments and series like this will only make us stronger and better players. Its what was going on in the lobby after the game that these players ,coaches and parents will remember for the rest of their lives!!!Leaving the dressing room single file and as a team the parents , grandparents and siblings organized a tunnel in the lobby with bells ,sirens and signs giving these boys a ovation like none other that sent chills down my spine and tears of joy down my face seeing the reaction on the faces of these boys and knowing even though they lost the series everyone was behind them. This is something you see on tv or read in a book and not in a million years thought I would ever be part of WHAT AN AMAZING JOB SOMEONE NEEDS TO SEND THAT TO HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA!!! I have always said the boys just want to play hockey its the parents that make it memorable and you guys didn't disappoint again this is something that I will remember forever so thank you #PROUD OF YOU BOYS#PROUD OF THE PARENTS#LOVE THIS GROUP#TEARS ARE A FLOWING#COACH JEFF
