LL4 rising up the league standings after 3rd win
Paris’ Wolfpack LL 3 and LL4 teams faced one another in a close match up this past Friday evening at our home centre.

Our goaltender Caleb had an outstanding game confronting 36 shots in the game, saving every shot to lead him to his first shut-out of the season.

The reason our goaltender saw his fair share of shots this game is that our team played short for 20 minutes of the 35 minute game.  The first period did not have a single penalty whistle call; however, the second and third periods, made up for it with 13 calls between both teams being recorded.

At times, we had one, two and even three players in the box with some of these calls being described by Big Rick as phantom calls, leaving many spectators wondering if they missed seeing a foul on the ice and only in reviewing the game sheet, post game, would reveal the calls.

If it wasn’t for an LL4 parent reminding the officials that there were two teams playing, LL3 would not have received a penalty call, whether it was warranted or not.

On a positive note, Evan scored twice for LL4 with his first goal taking place with 48.6 seconds remaining in the first period with Lucas and Jonah, each receiving assists, respectively.  The second goal was an unassisted goal at the 3:45 minute mark in the final period.

Congratulations to our Wolfpack team for gaining 6 points and rising our team up to the mid-point in the league standings.

Next game is this Sunday, November 18 as we welcome the Simcoe Warriors 1 to our centre for a 5:50pm start on the Davis pad, which will be good practice to prepare us for our team’s first tournament starting this coming Friday, November 23rd as we participate in the Mason Berube Memorial Tournament in Dresden, Ontario.

Go Wolfpack go!
