The Wolfpack Bantam LL1 headed south of the border for the 47th Annual Gene Harrington Falls Classic held in Niagara Falls New York. The adventure started with a solid 5-3 victory at the outdoor Riverside twin rink complex and set the stage for a great weekend of hockey. In game 2 the team built on the earlier success in a close battle and came away with a 2-1 win. Headed into our 3rd match up, 2 undefeated teams playing for 1st place in the division, the players showed they had what it takes to be competitors working hard through a seesaw game where both teams took turns leading until

Solid effort by all = big win

I can say on behalf of the coaching staff we are very proud of the work ethic and self discipline of our players in our Friday night barn burner at BSC. That was a game that lived up to the hype! The fast start by LL1 kept consistent pressure on a strong LL2 defence and LL1 was rewarded with 2 hard work goals to end the 1st up 2-0. LL2 remained defiant and fought back to tie the game 2-2 in the second, setting up for a third period battle to the finish. LL1 switched gears to start the 3rd and went back to

Readjusted attitude results in winning streak
Submitted

After a rocky, penalty riddled, early season the team are now buying into a better focus and more tolerant response to provocation. That coupled with the rotation of defensive duties and some line tweaks we really seem to be finding our groove. Great to see everyone getting on the score sheet and the consistent solid performances of our goalie duo taking away any steam the opposition has been able to muster. I'm looking forward to the next couple of games as we prepare for our first tournament of the season coming up next week. I think if our guys can keep the positive attitude in the ...

Team Leaders Selected
Submitted

After a successful first 2 games the team has lost a little focus with a "too much about me" personal strategy, the results are as predicted. The strong efforts of the goaltending duo of Lucas and Josh have limited the goals against but the team needs to bring back a more consistent focus on team play to get back to their winning ways. Congratulations to our new Captain Cam T. and the assistants, Adam J., Peter F. and Eric M. The coaching staff has confidence that these leaders, selected by their peers, will be able to help reboot the players and get the team back to their winning ways.

Season Starts with Big Win

The team has started off the season with a solid effort by all and big 8-2 win over the Simcoe Warriors 2 team. Our players were pumped and ready before the game and brought their great energy to the ice peppering a resilient Simcoe goalie with 61 shots. Cam T found a way past the netminder for a hattrick and Adam J was right on his heels with 2 of his own. Hayden S, Dallas M, and Jack C contributed a goal each with assists
