Finalist at Mooretown Tri-County Tournament
Our Atom LL1 team recently competed
in the Mooretown Tri-County Tournament.
We went 3-0 in round robin play allowing only one goal against thanks to outstanding goal tending by Joshua Drinkle and amazing plays from our offence and defence.
This set us up in an exciting semi-final game against the chippy Petrolia team, tied 3-3 in the 3rd with just over a minute left in the game Owen Lalonde scored a blue line goal sending us to the championship game against Mooretown White.
Down 5-0 in the first period of the championship game our team rallied back to score 4 of there own only to fall short in the end.
I am so proud of all our players and the achievements they accomplished this weekend as a team! We had the least goals against and most goals for throughout the entire tournament!
