Thank you, timekeepers, for your hard work in keeping the games running smoothly!
Important Rules in the Timekeeper’s Box
· No visitors — only scheduled timekeepers allowed. Keep the door closed.
· No phones during the game — your focus is on the ice.
· You need to know the referee's hand signals.
Before the Game
· Coaches will bring the iPads for GameSheets to you. Make sure all coaches/trainers have signed before the game starts. If there’s a problem, tell the referee right away.
· Record your name and start time of the game.
· All games start with a 3-minute warm-up.
· Paris Arena:
o Pick up the music iPad, cords, and 2–3 pucks (Wolfpack and/or Battalion) from the iPad room.
o Team warm up songs are saved on the iPads under the Notes app. These are to be played when the teams first step on the ice for warm-up.
o If music isn’t working, ask arena staff in the lobby to turn it on for your ice pad, and make sure the volume is turned up in the timekeeper box.
During the Game
· It’s very important that entries made into GameSheets are recorded accurately.
· Support Referees with managing penalty times.
· Music is to be played during warm-ups and between plays.
After the Game
· Take the iPad to the referee change room — refs will check the game sheet for accuracy and sign it electronically.
· Upload the game in GameSheets.
· Return all equipment, cords and pucks to the iPad room and plug everything in.
