Rep Tryout Schedule
Submitted By Jeff Clark on Sunday, August 14, 2016
PMHA has released the REP tryout registration for 2016-2017 season.

2016-2017 Rep tryouts dates are set.  You can view this calendar - PMHA Fall Ice Schedule - 2016.2017

We would like to thank all children in advance for your participation in the REP/AE try out process.  It is you and your child's participation in this process that will make our Association stronger.  Depending on the Rep try out participation, the Association will determine which divisions if any will offer an "AE" division with season registration numbers also in mind.  If there is not enough skaters involved in the Rep level try out process - releasing enough skaters into the AE try out process - PMHA will release these players to the local league level for the season.  PMHA Executive can't stress enough how the Rep level tryout numbers dictate if PMHA will field an AE team for the season, so please come out.

NEW - 2016.2017 - PMHA will not be announcing the assignment of the AE level coach(s) until ALL Rep tryouts are completed and players assigned to teams.  ** There will be opportunities in Atom, Peewee, Bantam and Midget for an AE team if the tryout numbers are met. **

PMHA Executive has determined that previous to the first REP skates the following registration numbers MUST be met in order for the Association to create an AE team:

     Atom (28 skaters + 3 goalies)
     Peewee (28 skaters + 3 goalies)
     Bantam (32 skaters + 3 goalies)
     Midget (32 skaters + 5 goalies)

The following will be the procedures for the 2016-2017 season try outs:

  • Fees will be $50.00 for the Rep Try out process which is outlined below
  • NEW - Member can keep assigned jersey at the completion of tryouts
  • Try out process
    • All players must have registered for try outs, paid and acknowledged terms and agreements before 1st skate
    • Players will be guaranteed two (2) skates
    • REP cuts may happen after the second (2nd) skate, but they must happen after the forth (4th) skate
    • If REP try out attendance warrants the continuation to AE try outs, AE cuts may happen after the second (2nd) skate, but they must happen after the forth (4th) skate
    • Players are expected to be at all skates (if a player cannot attend for any reason, the coach MUST be informed prior to skate)  Executive member(s) have the right to review the reason for absence from the try out process
    • Players must try out for REP to qualify for AE teams (the exception to this rule would be if an AE team is added to the association after the REP try outs have begun)
    • A player or parent cannot ask for release (exemption) from any REP team skates to AE level (if applicable) without Executive approval
      • In the event you wish to exercise this right you must complete the Release Request previous to 1st Rep skate
      • In the event there are not enough releases from REP to field AE tryouts and you bi-passed the Rep skates using the release request (above), your child will be released to Local League and your tryout fees will be refunded
    • If any player or parent requests release from REP without Executive approval, he/she may be removed from REP/AE and placed in Local League for the upcoming season
    • Try outs fees will be set by the Executive; ($50.00) and must be paid prior to the players first (1st) skate
    • No refunds will be issued after the players first (1st) skate (with the exception of member(s) excercising a release (exemption) request as specified above)
We look forward to a great 2016-2017 season.
