Welcome Back | Peewee LL
Submitted By Pat Graham on Thursday, September 20, 2018

Good afternoon PMHA families:

First of all, welcome back to another year of hockey with PMHA.  We hope that the kids are excited to get back on the ice for another season.

I want to thank you for your patience, as the start of the year has been very busy as ice times were slow to come in as the county was implementing a new software system.

You are receiving this email as you are currently registered in PMHA and your child is registered in the PeeWee Division.

On Thursday night, PMHA will be running a power skating and skills session for any PeeWee LL player that would like an hour of ice time.  This session is free of charge and will run from 630-730pm.

On Sunday afternoon, we will be running our evaluations of the PeeWee LL from 130-330pm at BSC.  Players will be provided a jersey upon arrival to allow the coaches to properly evaluate the players.  Players are required to be in full equipment.

Players will be put through some drills to evaluate skating skills, balance and agility and pucks skills.  In addition to having a scrimmage in the 2nd hour.

The evaluation has a couple of purposes.
  1. To evaluate the skill levels of the PeeWee players and allow the coaches to build a program based on the skills that are in place and what needs to be focused on.
  2. It will allow the PMHA/coaches to rate players so that they can be separated into two balanced teams for the season.
PMHA is still looking for volunteers to coach the PeeWee LL and any parents that are able and interested in helping out are to please contact the President or Division Convenor, at your first opportunity.  Without the support of the volunteers, we are unable to offer these programs.  PMHA is here to help those who are able to help this coming season.

If your child is unable to attend for any reason, please forward an email to the division convenor (Jim Flewelling).  His email can be found on the PMHA website or Peewee Convenor

Hope to see you all at the arena.
Pat Graham
