OMHA Inter-Town Local League – Your input is important
Submitted By Jeff Clark on Saturday, May 14, 2016
The Paris Minor Hockey Association’s current year Executive have placed in a request for consideration to join the OMHA Inter-town Local League (Southern Counties) on a (2) two year trial basis starting for the 2016-2017 Season.  Your input is welcome and very important to us.

PMHA Executive always listens to our members concerns and suggestions on how to better our centre for not only competitiveness but most importantly player development through the year.  We have done some research over the last couple of months in moving out of the Grand River Local League loop and changing to the Inter-town Local League loop.

The following are highlighted benefits:

  • The Inter-town Local League loop will align to play similar centres as our Representative Teams (Southern Counties.
Burford Coyotes  Delhi Rockets   Ingersoll Express  Langton Leaf
Norwich Nighthawks  Port Dover Pirates  Simcoe Warriors  Six Nations Blackhawks
 Tillsonburg Tornadoes Waterford Wildcats
  • Better aligned competition levels based on centre size and division classifications (Paris is a 'B' centre)

We have received pre-approval of a tentative welcoming from Inter-town Local League members at their Annual General Meeting in April.  We have also received an official blessing from Grand River Local League members at their Annual General Meeting in May 2016.

The PMHA Executive as per OMHA’s wishes would like to extend these proposed changes to our members, you of The Paris Minor Hockey Association.  We encourage each of you by Monday May 23rd, 2016 to extend your opinion by a simple Poll (on the right hand side of our home page www.parisminorhockey.com) on joining the Inter-town Local League for a two year trial period.  If you have immediate detailed concerns positive or negative we encourage you to email your Executive Members (email link).

The Executive would like to evaluate with OMHA before we open registration on June 1st, 2016.

We appreciate all of you and look forward to a great 2016-2017 hockey season.
