U13 Rep, Champions in Niagara on the Lake
The Paris U13 Rep team travelled to Niagara on the Lake this past weekend and took home the Cup in the Niagara on the Lake Harvest Classic Tournament. 

In the first game of round robin play friday the Paris boys came out hard and ended up with a victory over Aurora 8-1. Winger and rookie sensation Fin K was flying, leading the Paris boys. newly acquired Will D was spectacular on defense, being 6'5 and 130lbs he's intimidating out there! Next up in the round robin the Paris boys had to do battle with the mighty Fort Erie Meteors. this game would end with Fort Erie coming out on top by a score of 4-3. Andrew fire Ball G was flying around everywhere and played a strong game, as did linemate Hayden Spark plug S. he moves like a wet cat out there,  now you see him now you don't! Coach Ty P felt like the boys could have pulled this game out if star player Rowan mad dog M was in the line up, but due to a lower body injury had to sit the tournament out. Evan Man hands M was awesome on D, no one could get by this kid, One look from this kid and he scares the bejesus out of everyone. That would conclude fridays games, with everyone going back to the hotel and the parents cutting lose and the kids resting, the night was lovely. On saturday morning the Paris boys would play a strong home town team The Niagara on the Lake wolves!!! win and move on lose and go home. Well the Boys came out flying to a 5-1 victory to earn a birth in the semi finals placing second after the round robin play. stand outs in the final round robin game where, Ty don't call me serious S, this kid was like Cal Mckar on the point out there, he was a stud. Other stand outs where Captain crunch Tallen P, this kid was a leader all weekend, making speeches and keeping everyone upbeat. Spanky W otherwise known as Owen was an animal in this contest, he took no prisoners. With saturday behind the boys and the semi final not for another 24 hours the parents absolutely let lose, several ended up being incarcerated. thank god for level headed parent Jeff D who led the kids with games and pizza in the park! On to Sunday and the semi final the Paris boys faced down a tough team from Midland. with the score tight all game paris finally opened things up in the second period and would eventually walk away with a 4-1 victory. Noah B was an absolute beast on defence in this one i tell ya. Up front it was the tenacious play of Jared R wreaking havoc all over the ice leading the charge. Goaltender Christian Mighty W, was stellar. this would set the Paris boys up with a rematch with that mighty Fort Erie team. after a long day of waiting around for the final to get under way, the Paris boys came out flying! They were fighting hard for every single inch of ice out there. the final score in this one would be 5-1 Paris and the champions would be coming back home sunday night on top!! The excellent play of Jameson speed demon A was unbelievable, this kid was tracking pucks all tournament long. Also up front star player Eric the dangler B, was a barbarian out there. he's scoring goals this year at pace never seen before in the u13 level. Dante D was on fire in net in this one making several key saves all game. When interviewing some of the Parents after the tournament this is what was said, Sancey pleasantville P said "man that was awesome I'm so hungover and i have to get to this concert to see the Lumineers".   Parent Rob frank the tank D was quoted as saying I don't remember last night but i'll never forget this moment. Coach Jeff M said I'm a winner all i do is win. Special thanks to coach Scott G for keeping the kids focused and the coaching staff in line all tournament, a a roll usually filled by coach kipp but he was absent, looking for Bambi, either at the sun downer or up north not sure.
