Bantams start strong
The Bantam reps have had a strong start to the season as they travel to north bay this weekend for the first tournament of the year. the record so far is 2-0-1.

In the first game of the season the boys were firing on all cylinders but just couldn't beat a strong Port Dover goaler. the final was 4-2 dover with an empty nester at the end of the game. The Paris boys controlled most of the play but it just wasn't to be.  Next they travelled to Burford to take on the coyotes. This time paris ended up on the right end of the scoreboard with the first victory of the year. Jacob F picked up the goose egg in net. The offence was spread around with several players picking up points but it was a total team effort. then on Friday back in Paris the boys were ready to take on the mighty Norwich bantams, skating away with another victory. Kyle S got the win in net.  the offence in this game was led by the rookie line of James H, Mathew B, and Austin R, who never gets robbed. Other notable players in this game were Payton M who was a force up front and one of the best power forwards in the league, along with Jake Z another force to be recon with. Preston B has been flying all over the ice killing several penalties and dangling in and out of traffic. Kyle K has been great up front this year as will skating hard and smiling lots. Newly re acquired Dalton K who was brought back to Paris on a one way contract has been a lovely addition. He's shown leadership and skill on and off the ice.  Also rookie sensations Ashton J, James H have been lights out up front. And rookie defenseman Connor C has been smooth as a gravel road on the back end.  Austin R who never gets robbed has shown an excellent leader ship role so far. The defense core has been the key to success and is led by captains Evan D, Aiden C and Jaeyden C. And newly acquired Peter F has been fantastic playing both forward and defense bringing a big physical presence to the rink. And finally the coaching staff has been a little on the weaker side, with defensive coach Chris D taking a bad too many men penalty in one of the games, in his own defense he may or may not have been confused. Mike K who runs the forwards has been seen cracking a smile or 2 which is rare in itself as no one knew he even had teeth. Jason H the teams special teams advisor and nutrition coach has been bang on.  O and one more note, the fans have been outstanding, by far the best in the league not only do they cheer great they look great that includes Bill Z and Cam M.
