Paris U8-2 Wolfpack compete in Simcoe Lions U8 Tournament!
On Feb. 4th and 5th the Paris U8-2 Wolfpack competed in the Simcoe Lions U8 Tournament.
The team competed in 4 games. Playing 2 games on Saturday, the first game was a hard fought game against Cayuga and our strong goaltending and defensive play lead the way for us.
Our second game on Saturday was a bit of a slow start against Burford after going out for a team lunch. Playing a little sleepy early on our goaltending and defense kept us in the game until the offense could get rolling and take care of business!
Third game was a very early game on Sunday at 8 am against Hagersville and a completely different team showed up. Using a very aggressive forecheck and solid back checking, we were able to limit the opposition to only a few scoring chances and we were able to carry the play for much of the game.
Our fourth and final game was against Delhi and we picked up right where we left off earlier in the day. Great positional play, aggressive forechecking and some some pretty slick passing plays allowed the team to carry the play right from the opening face off!
This was a very successful and fun jamboree for our kids. The hard work, determination, teamwork and friendship that this team continues to demonstrate shows how much the team has grown together!
