Wolfpack Atom LL2 - Game 7...
Hello again fellow Wolfpack fans!  As we prepare for a double header this weekend, here is a reflection of the last game against Ingersol Express 3!!

...it was a dark and stormy night....just kidding, a bit of wind and something blowing over but did the Pack ever come to play!!!

Game 7 - Wolfpack vs. Ingersol Express 3

The 7th game of the season saw the Wolfpack travel to Ingersol for a Monday night battle....

The pack was on a roll coming off an explosive win over the Port Dover Pirates.  There were determined to keep the ball rolling and the offense lighting the lamp.  ...it didn't take long with the VERY HOT line as of late of Turbo Stewart, Digger Atkinson and the 'Ovi' Andrew Robinson with his Ovechkin-like moves!  Just 37 seconds in, with Digger taking a pass from Ovi, he stepped out around the defense in the corner to find his streaking center, Turbo Stewart, who made no mistake 'bulging the twine' after accepting Digger's beauty TAPE-to-TAPE pass; and like that - it was 1-0!!

The play went back and forth - end to end in a sea-saw battle for a solid 4 mins putting the fans in the stands to the edge of their seats on BOTH sides which finally saw the Ingersol Express tie things up 1-1.  The tie would be held up with FURIOUS action from Callum-the-Cat standing tall for the Pack making many key stops to do his part keeping the Pack in it!!

At 3 mins into the second, over the boards came the K-Man (Canaan Sherbino) with line mates Jacob B and A.J. Spadafora, had decided to take things into their own hands scoring twice in a minute with K-Man ripping one up high over the Ingersol net minder's blocker, lighting the lamp with A.J and Jacob with the helpers.

The second one came on a FURY of firing shots by the third line mates forcing the Ingersol goalie to stand on his head but couldn't manage to hold off the 3 line mates from scoring as Jacob B FINALLY pounded in the loose puck in front of the net where he is becoming a regular 'clean up man' where NO rebound is safe!  K-Man and A.J were rewarded for their hard work picking up the assists!

With the score now 3-1, the Pack added another quick one by Digger in a heavy scrum out front, he managed to pull the puck to an open side, potting it with Turbo and Ovi R drawing assists.

The hard work of Ryan Q, Jack M and David M also applied heavy pressure throughout the game creating many chances of their own.  With much effort and defensive play, a combination of some bad luck and the puck bouncing the wrong way on them, kept them off the score sheet but non-the-less sure helped keep the Ingersol score at bay.

On this night, with the score 4-1, the Pack STILL wasn't done!  Ovi wanted in on the action, stick handling 'in a phone booth' before launching a ROCKET in the net off the pass from Digger A and Turbo drawing the other assist.  This gave all 3 boys a goal and 2 assists each on the night.  For 3 games, this line has gelled together since being formed by Coach (Babcock) Sinclair.

With the score now 5-1, the K-Man took the draw, wheeling and dealing on a great SOLO effort notching his second of the game.  Rounding out the scoring was Jacob B once again in his 'office' out front, banging in HIS second of the night!  David M drew another assist as well as Taylor D who held the 'Blue Line' ALL night long!!

All this offense wouldn't be possible if not for the 'Wolfpack WALL' of Crusher S, Issac G, Camryn G, Taylor D and David S who ALL played a very strong and disciplined game, holding the blue line when needed and cleaning the D Zone when called upon keeping this a VERY lop-sided game.

With such strong D and The Cat - razor sharp, allowed the Pack forwards to free wheel and apply heavy pressure pushing the Pack to another victory based on solid TEAM effort once again, by ALL the Black, Red and White colours of the Wolfpack.  The GOLDEN jersey was handed out to Taylor D for her STELLAR defensive play - holding the offensive blue line when needed...WELL DONE!!!

Next up, the Pack will be put to the test with back-to-back games defending their HOME ice.

....before I go, I would like to thank everyone offering their collections and donations to Digger should he need to replace his Hockey Gear to play this weekend after his mom unknowingly backing over it while I was away on my fishing trip...  Thanks Coach Sinc for rescuing the gear from the center of your court!!

Until next time....KEEP YOUR STICK ON THE ICE!
