Wolfpack has two close games, winning one.
The Wolfpack played Ingersoll this past Thursday, Tillsonburg on Friday and participated in a team building event on Saturday at McMaster in Hamilton.

What a great week for the boys as they played in two tight hockey games and enjoyed the outdoors on Saturday while down at McMaster University.

Thursday Oct 11, Paris travelled to Ingersoll and lost 1-0 in a low scoring battle.  Paris had thought they had tied the game up at one point but the referees had blown the whistle pre-maturely and would disallow the goal.  For the most part Paris played well but just couldn't get their game to the next level to push past the Express.

Friday Oct 12 would be another tough opponent when they would face the Tillsonburg Tornadoes.  This was a great game from the get go, other than maybe a short few minutes in the first period.  The first two periods would go scoreless with both goalies playing well.  Paris would score first at 6:47 of the 3rd period.  Brody R would make some nifty moves and beat everyone, including the goalie.  Spencer D and Owen H would help along the way with some nice passing.  Tillsonburg would score two minutes later to tie things up.  Things would stay close but Paris would take the wind out of the Tornadoes when they would score on the PP with 17.5 seconds remaining.  Alex B would get a nice grinder goal with the helpers going to Harry P and Austin P. All five players involved on the ice were determined on the play and their hard work would pay off.  Paris held on to win 2-1.  Some of the coaching staff almost jumped through the roof of the BSC when Paris scored the second goal.

Saturday Oct 13th would be a day of team building.  The team participated in the McMaster Altitude program at McMaster University in Hamilton.  It was a day of challenges and fun for the boys where they would problem solve and figure out things as a group. The coaching staff was quite impressed with the boys as they were very well behaved and excelled at working together as a team.  The program reiterated our team values of working together and that a team works as a unit and not as individuals.  The coaches are proud of the boys and hope to continue to contribute to them not only becoming better hockey players and teammates but also great young men.

The Paris Optimist Peewees travel to Hagersville on Wednesday and then are back at home Friday night against Six Nations.  Check the website out for game times and come out and support your Paris Wolfpack!!
