2nd Round of OMHA dead locked
The boys have been playing solid team hockey and are seeing continued improvement game after game. The 1st OMHA elimination series vs Ingersoll was an indication of great things to come with Paris sweeping Ingersoll 3 straight to advance to the second round. With Ingersoll eliminated we move on to 2nd round play downs vs. top seated Ayr
and in with a solid effort Paris took game 1, winning 3-1. Game 2 proved a tougher matchup as Ayr brought a better side at home and managed to hang on for a 3-2 victory, tying the series at a game each.
In the overlapping SC round robin Paris has come up a little light on goals largely due to the coaches decision to experiment with lines and player combinations, but that playoff is in its early stages and the coaches feel strongly that the team will rebound in coming weeks to secure a spot in the finals.
Paris has 3 games on the schedule this week with a SC game Wednesday at 8:20pm in Paris vs Plattsville (the team that tied us in the Ground Hog tourney to take us out of the final). Then home and away games 3 & 4 vs Ayr, Friday night at 7:00pm in Paris then back to Ayr Saturday at 8:20pm for the OMHA battle to advance to the quarter finals. Game 5, if required, will be back in Paris Feb 9th at 8:20pm.
