TRAGIC LOSS!!!!!
WITH GREAT SADDNESS AND A HEAVY HEART TEAM ANNOUNCES THE PASSING OF COACH JOEY PICKERING
As Paris minor hockey woke up Sunday morning the news broke that we had lost a amazing person due to a fatal motor vehicle accident. Joey was a coach on the Paris wolfpack peewee rep team in which he was mentored by Paul and Chris pike along side long time friend Scott. The boys and the coaching staff are devastated by this news. Joey was a inspiration to these boys and a joy to be around, a man of few words he was always positive and carried that contagious smile everywhere he went, Joey was never angry and was always seen giving positive vibes to the players and shared little tidbits and how to beat our opponents. The coaching staff will need everyones support the most as Paul and Chris coached Joey all throught his PMHA career winning a OMHA title, long time friend Scott will need everyone as well as he grew up with Joey. The boys are saddened by this but will heal as time goes on by playing the game they love the most. I have already heard the boys say they are winning the OMHA and dedicating it to Joey that's how much he meant to these boys and this team. Joey you will be deeply missed my friend from the boys to the coaches to the parents you touched all of us in some way weather it was a smile or a wave you had a impact on all of us. In honour the team will be wearing a patch on their jersey to commemorate him. Paris minor hockey please support this team in this tough time . The boys start the next round of the OMHA this Sunday at the BSC 8pm come cheer them on they will need it.
