LL2 Pack Goes 1-1-1 Over Their Last 3 Games!!
Paris Novice WolfPack LL2 continued to learn and grow as a team over the last week with some ups and downs!

The LL2 Pack played 3 games over the last week and they came out to play in all 3 games. Their first game was a late 7pm start in Port Dover against another center that doesn't have a Rep team. The kids understandably came out a little flat against a fast skating, hard shooting Port Dover team. Port Dover got on the board quickly, barely a minute into the game, luckily this quick goal seemed to wake up the Pack and they pressured and challenged Dover for the remaining 9 minutes keeping the game close after 1 period. The second period saw Port Dover turn up the speed as they kept our goalie and defence busy and took a commanding 8-0 lead going into the final period. Everyone would have thought this young WolfPack team would have been down and out, but they showed true heart and character as they played a hard fought final period and made Port Dover earn every last goal they got, keeping Port Dover to only 3 goals in the third making the final a 11-0 loss.

The Packs next game was against Six Nations on Saturday morning and not even Santa Claus could have stopped this team from showing up (even though he tried). LL2  again got caught early in the opening period when Six Nations scored just 24 seconds into the game! Fortunately just like in Port Dover this early goal seemed to spark the Pack and they turned things around and put on a display of great puck pressure and passing and answered the call just a minute and a half later to even the score up. With the score tied up Paris didn't take their foot off the accelerator and scored 3 goals in a one minute span taking a 4-1 lead into the second period. The Pack kept the pressure on and played a great second period allowing them to control the game and exchange goals with Six Nations making the score 5-2 Paris after the second period. These kids have shown in the past that they come to play all 30 minutes of the games and this didn't change even though they had a 3 goal lead. Paris again kept control of the game, winning puck battles, using the boards as an extra player and showing some excellent skating (I guess they really do pay attention at practices!) The great play from everyone on this team allowed them to win this game 7-2.

The final game of the stretch was gonna be a good one against a strong Tillsonburg team. You knew this game was going to be good as both teams got into a little bit of a cheer battle in the tunnel before heading onto the ice and with that both teams came out flying and weren't giving an inch. The Pack again showed that their hard work in practice was paying off, as they skated hard and kept the pressure on Tillsonburg and their goaltender. The great puck pressure and use of the boards continued in this game as Paris controlled the play limiting Tillsonburgs puck time until late, i mean very late into the first period (7secs left) Tillsonburg got the games first goal. The 2nd period again was a great period to watch as the teams made great plays back and forth, exchanging good opportunities when just over halfway through the second period Paris tied the game up showing some excellent drive to the net as a great battle took place in front of Tillsonburgs goalie and the loose puck was jammed in. The third period started with the game tied at 1-1 and Paris again came to play all 30 minutes of this game! The Pack turned things up a notch and if it wasn't for the amazing goaltender of Tillsonburg this game would have been a barn burner! Paris again showed great puck pressure and they didn't stop skating till the final whistle of this hard fought tie game. I don't think there was one person in the arena that could say that this was a boring game to watch, as both teams left it all on the ice and us as coaches couldn't be more proud of such great play! WAY TO GO WOLFPACK!!!!!!
