WolfPack Come Out Running!!
Paris Novice LL2 WolfPack start the 2017/2018 season running!

The Paris Novice LL2 WolfPack started the season off with a strong defensive effort against the Simcoe Warriors and it showed on the score board, it was a tight game with Paris coming out on top of a 1-0 win. Next, they hosted the Burford Coyotes and shut them down with a 5-0 win (if your keeping track, that is 2 wins & 2 shutouts). The stellar defensive effort from this young team got some amazing support from the offense leading to the win. The Pack kept on taking its prey down as they traveled to Ingersoll and took on the Express LL2 team. The team was clicking and were relentless on the Express, not giving them an inch of ice. The great teamwork and puck aggression allowed the Pack to leave Ingersoll's barn with another 5-0 win (3 wins/3 shutouts). The next team to fall victims to this pack of wild animals was the Norwich Nighthawks. It was another great effort from the team as they skated away with a 4-2 win(that's right 4 wins in a row, 3 of them being shutouts). The Packs next game was a close one, as they took on the other Paris WolfPack LL1 team. This game was a fun one to watch as the goalies stood on their heads keeping the score close for most of the first 2 periods, but in the end the veteran squad of LL1 was too much and the young pack lost 4-1. With their 4 game winning streak snapped, the LL2 WolfPack was out to get another W against the Langton leafs in their home barn. It was a true battle against a center that doesn't have a REP team for this division and it showed as Langton skated away with a 13-2 win. The true character of this WolfPack team was visible as they never let the score get into their heads and they kept on trying right up to the last buzzer.

Yesterday was another great learning experience for the LL2 WolfPack as they hosted the Delhi Rockets, it turned into a Saturday afternoon nail biter! Paris came out strong with their puck aggression and took a 2-0 lead in the first period, but Delhi wasn't going to roll over that easy as they put one on the board early in the second. With the score 2-1 for the Pack, Delhi kept the pressure on and a strong defensive play sprung one of the Pack for a breakaway and a 3-1 lead. The 3rd period started with the Pack up 4-1 but they quickly found out that no lead is ever too big of a lead to sit back on. Delhi found their groove and forced the Pack to make costly turn overs, without the help of their goalie, the Pack could have found themselves on the wrong end of a come back! Delhi made it a 4-2 game in the 3rd until Paris found the back of the net, to regain a 3 goal lead. With the W in sight the Pack sat back and thought they were safe, that made for a very interesting last 2 minutes of the period as Delhi managed to sneak one in and get the score to 5-3. With their goalie pulled and the 6th attacker on the ice Delhi shocked the young Pack and got their 3rd goal of the period with only 8.8 seconds left making it a 1 goal game. The bench was quiet as the players lined up on the ice for what was hopefully going to be the last faceoff of this game and it was, as the Packs center won the draw and they snuck away with a 5-4 win.
