Strong start for Novice LL1
From the desk of GM Stewy:

Welcome back to another exciting hockey season!  The coaching staff of Rob Darling, Mike Sinclair,  Doug Stewart and another guy are thrilled to be working with these future hockey stars. The Woflpack are 1 win and 1 loss to open the 2017 season, in the opener the boys lost a heart breaker 2-1 to Ingersoll but came flying back in their second game and tamed the Waterford Wildcats 7-0 on home ice.

In the opener vs Ingersoll Paris had a ton of shots on the the Express goalie but could only get one past him on a breakaway by Tyler H - who deked him out and went roof daddy on him. The defence consisting of Logan S, AJ S, Nicholas M and Ryan Q did an outstanding job of clearing the danger zone and getting the puck up the boards, goalie Callum the cat was awesome in net as usual. The team did not have many practices before this game and looked a little rusty. Next up was Waterford and you could tell the Wolfpack were hungry from the opening face off, Tyler H once again started off the scoring with a beauty to the glove side of the Wildcat net minder with assists going to Eric B and Jacob H. Tyler H ended up with 3 goals and two assist with Brooks A netting his first two goals of his young career and AJ S also nabbed his first Wolfpack goal ramming home a rebound with Neil B and Aidan D collecting assists. Dawson A scored late in the match with assists going to Cameron S and David M. Once again Callum D was unbelievable in net even the opposition coaches remarked on how well he played getting his first shutout of the year, the Paris Mounties would have had a tough time getting one by him. This reporter caught up with the Novice LL1 goalie coach Turk Broda at the snack bar and when asked about this young phenom Turk said and I quote "can I get fries with that'... thanks Turk. All the boys worked hard and the coaching staff is proud...Next up Burford Coyotes this Saturday at 11:30 in beautiful downtown Burford. Be there or be square...
